The Filthy Pirates

The Filthy Pirates (TFP) are a UK-based recreational airsoft team founded as a father-and-son project that has since grown into a close-knit group of friends brought together by a shared passion for airsoft. Based primarily at Combat Airsoft in Thetford, Norfolk, the team regularly takes part in woodland skirmishes, CQB events, and objective-based game days across the UK. The Filthy Pirates believe in taking the game seriously—but never themselves. Teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and creating memorable experiences are at the heart of everything we do. Whether we're defending an objective, pushing through enemy lines, or laughing about the day's best moments in the safe zone, our goal is simple: play hard, play fair, and enjoy every minute. The team's name is inspired by Craig Alanson's Expeditionary Force series, combining Skippy's affectionate nickname for humanity, "Filthy Monkeys", with Joe Bishop's legendary "Merry Band of Pirates." The result perfectly captures our identity: a team that values loyalty, humour, and overcoming the odds together. What started as a father-and-son airsoft team has steadily expanded into a growing community of players from different backgrounds and experience levels, all united by the same mindset. Every member brings their own personality, preferred loadout, and playstyle, making The Filthy Pirates a diverse and adaptable team on the field.
