Skirmishes: Find the Fight, Find the Squad

Improvement1 Jul 2026View update

Skirmishes are now the dedicated home for upcoming game days on Airsoft.Bio.

Until now, game days mostly lived at the top of the feed. That worked for a while, but they now have a proper place of their own.

With Skirmishes, players can:

  • View upcoming game days
  • See which games other Bio players are attending
  • Mark themselves as attending
  • Show whether they are open to others joining them
  • Find players who are looking to squad up

This is especially useful for solo players, newer players, people visiting a new site, or anyone who wants to find other Airsoft.Bio users heading to the same game day.

Less awkward safe zone hovering. More finding your people.

Teams 2.0: Your Team Has a Proper Home Now

Improvement1 Jul 2026View update

The Teams section has had a pretty major update.

Teams now have three main areas:

  • Public View - your team’s public-facing profile
  • Team View - a private space for team members
  • Manager View - the admin area for team settings and controls

The Public View lets teams show off who they are, including their bio, sponsors, home sites, public chat, Instagram or YouTube highlights, team roster, allies, rivals, game days and team stats.

Team game days are automatically added when two or more members are marked as attending the same skirmish, with stats calculated from that activity.

The Team View gives members a private space to chat, organise and keep track of team activity. It includes default chat channels, extra custom channels, a team noticeboard and game day voting so admins can ask members where they want to play next.

The Manager View gives team admins more control over the team, including:

  • Team name, bio, images and visibility
  • Recruitment status and recruitment message
  • Custom application form fields
  • Roles and permissions
  • Member management options

Teams can also organise their roster using drag and drop hierarchy slots. If a team is recruiting, open slots can be used to let players apply to join.

In short, teams now have a proper home on Airsoft.Bio, not just a profile page with a fancy hat on.

New Ways to Post

New Feature1 Jul 2026View update

We have added three new post types to make the feed more interactive and more expressive.

You can now create:

  • Polls to ask the community questions and get quick opinions
  • Feeling posts to share the vibe of the day
  • Activity posts to show what you are up to

This gives players, teams, sites and communities more ways to post beyond standard text updates.

Whether you are asking what BB weight people use, sharing that post-skirmish exhaustion, or logging your latest game day prep, the feed now has more room for personality.

Question of the Day

New Feature1 Jul 2026View update

We have added Question of the Day to Airsoft.Bio.

This is a dedicated space for daily community questions designed to get players talking about airsoft topics, opinions, experiences and ideas.

You can find it here:

https://airsoft.bio/question-of-the-day

Questions of the Day will also appear in the feed with their own unique cards, making it easy for people to jump into the conversation.

The goal is simple: more thoughtful discussion, less dead air.

Expect questions around:

  • Gear choices
  • Game day experiences
  • Site preferences
  • Hot takes
  • Lessons learned
  • Community opinions

Feed QoL Improvements

Improvement1 Jul 2026View update

We have made a handful of quality of life improvements to the Airsoft.Bio feed to make it cleaner, faster and easier to browse.

This includes:

  • A new Stay in the Loop sidebar section for socials, updates and useful links
  • General UI improvements across the feed
  • Cleaner post card layouts
  • Fewer system events shown by default, with a load more option
  • Fewer posts loaded upfront, with more loading as you scroll
  • Improved Discord invite embeds so they take up less space in posts

Nothing too flashy here. Just a better, smoother feed experience with a bit less clutter and a bit more polish.

Social Sign-On Has Entered the Safe Zone

Improvement1 Jul 2026View update

Logging into Airsoft.Bio is now a lot easier.

You can now sign in using:

  • Google
  • Discord
  • Username and password
  • Magic Link

If you originally signed up without a password, you can create one from your account settings. You can also reset your password if you need to get back into your account the old fashioned way.

No more login faff. Pick your preferred method and get back to browsing, posting and finding game days.

Feed Search Gets Tactical

New Feature1 Jul 2026View update

The Airsoft.Bio feed is getting busier, so we have added better ways to search and filter through it.

You can now use feed search with filter keys to help narrow things down and find more relevant posts.

This should make it easier to track down specific content, conversations, updates and community activity without having to scroll forever like you are looking for that one missing speedloader.

Permalink Posts

Improvement1 Jul 2026View update

ou can now share a direct link to a specific post on Airsoft.Bio.

Each post can be opened and shared with its own permalink, making it easier to send people directly to:

  • Useful discussions
  • Polls
  • Team updates
  • Game day posts
  • Question of the Day threads
  • Community conversations

This should make it much easier to share content outside of Airsoft.Bio and bring people straight into the right conversation.

GIFs, Stickers and Slight Chaos

New Feature1 Jul 2026View update

The feed now supports stickers and GIFs, because sometimes words are not enough.

You can now add a bit more personality to your posts, replies and updates using visual reactions.

Perfect for:

  • Celebrating a good game day
  • Reacting to spicy opinions
  • Posting tactical nonsense
  • Making the feed feel more alive

Serious updates are still welcome. Ridiculous GIFs are now also welcome.

SITE OPERATORS

Airsoft sites that are part of a wider network now have their own operator profiles. UCAP, RIFT, First & Only and others each have a dedicated page listing all their sites, along with community ratings and discussion. Every operator has a short identifying tag, a designated and verified player profile can take ownership of an operator to manage it and all its associated sites.

Armoury Overhaul

Improvement16 Apr 2026View update

The loadout section has been reimagined and renamed to Armoury. Every change here came directly from your feature requests! Multiple loadouts - Create up to 3 named loadout slots (CQB Kit, Milsim Kit, Speedsoft, whatever you run). Each one is fully independent with its own gear, weapons, and photos. No more cramming everything into one list. Requested by Toonami78 RIF showcase - Your primary and secondary now get dedicated photo cards. Upload two images for each, show the brand and platform, add tags and detail your upgrades so other players can see exactly what you're running. Requested by the community Full kit photo - Each loadout gets a dedicated slot for a full body kit shot. Show the whole setup in action, not just a parts list. Kit description - Free-text area to describe your setup in your own words, plus tags so visitors get the vibe at a glance. Gear grid refresh, Tighter 4-column layout for head, comms, body, and ordnance. Same info, cleaner look.

Feed Tweaks

Update16 Apr 2026View update

- View upcoming game days that other players are attending in the coming weeks on the feed page. (As the platform grows, this will likely move to a better location) (Thanks Daniel for this suggestion) - Platform statistics - The can be found in the side bar of the feed page. Here you can find live stats on data points of the platform.

Direct Messaging & Feeds

New Feature15 Apr 2026View update

What's New We've dropped two big ones this update: Direct Messages and Feeds. You can now slide into another player's DMs straight from their profile, and keep up with what's happening across the community through the new Global Feed or check out what a specific player's been posting on their Player Feed. Whether you're lining up your next game day squad or just talking loadouts, Airsoft.Bio just got a whole lot more social.
