Mobile app data & privacy

This page lists what the Airsoft.Bio mobile app collects or accesses, which part of the app is responsible, and why. It's intended as a technical companion to our Privacy Policy, which governs how this data is used, stored, and protected.

Core app (Expo & React Native)

expo, react-native, expo-device, expo-constants

Basic device and app information such as OS version, device model, and app version. Used to run the app correctly and diagnose crashes or bugs.

Account, profile, and content data

@supabase/supabase-js

Your account, profile, loadouts, posts, direct messages, follows, and other content you create. This is the same data used to power your account on the website, and is used to sign you in and run the app's core features.

Local preferences

@react-native-async-storage/async-storage

Session tokens and local app preferences (such as onboarding progress or UI settings) stored only on your device, so you don't lose your place between sessions.

Sign in with Google or Discord

expo-auth-session, expo-web-browser

Opens a secure in-app browser session to complete sign-in with Google or Discord. We receive your email and basic profile details from the provider to create or match your account.

Push notifications

expo-notifications, expo-device

A push token tied to your device, along with device type, used to deliver notifications you've opted into (such as direct messages, team activity, or announcements). You can manage push preferences in Account settings.

Location

expo-location

Your device's location, requested only when you open the NAF game zone map and only if you grant permission. Used to show your position on the map. Not collected anywhere else in the app.

Photos and media

expo-image-picker, expo-image-manipulator, expo-file-system

Access to your photo library or camera, used to select and resize images for avatars, banners, loadout photos, and NAF moments before they're uploaded. Images are processed locally on your device before upload.

Deep links

expo-linking

Reads the URL used to open the app (for example, a shared profile or event link) so you land on the right screen. Does not collect browsing history.

NFC token scanning

react-native-nfc-manager

Reads the ID of an NFC tag when you tap Scan during the NAF token hunt. Scanning happens locally on your device and only while the scan screen is open.

In-app booking pages

react-native-webview

Loads external vendor or battleplan booking pages inside the app so you don't have to leave it. These pages are provided by third parties and may have their own data practices.

Articles, guides, and hub content

Sanity content via site APIs

Blog posts, guides, and hub content are fetched read-only from our content system to display inside the app. No personal data is sent as part of these requests.
