FilmSim | Operation Sting

France, June 1944. UK and US airborne units have met up outside Sainte-Mère-Église and a secret mission, Operation Sting, has been devised: find the location of any German-occupied airfields leading to the main one at Carpiquet Airfield outside Caen. German elements of the 30th Flak Regiment have relocated their equipment after the fall of Sainte-Mère-Église, operating from old and bombed-out Luftwaffe airfields, supported by mixed elements of SS, Luftwaffe ground crew and Wehrmacht soldiers. A FilmSim WW2 Operations weekend: three narrative-led operation-style actions where players steer the outcome. FilmSim is all about the story and role-play; full FilmSim rules, 300 rounds loaded in mags. Radio packs and map cases provided. Bolt-action rifles encouraged (around 20 spring bolt-actions for hire at £10 for the weekend). Sides: German (Mixed Units), Allied (Mixed UK/US Forces), Free French. At Gunman Tuddenham, Cavenham Road, Tuddenham, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Optional early arrival Fri 6 Nov from 14:00 to set up camp; arrive from 08:00 Sat. Game runs Sat 7 Nov 09:30 to Sun 8 Nov 13:00. £75 (£35 non-refundable deposit + £40 on arrival). Minimum age 12. Tickets non-refundable but can be passed on to waiting players.
