Frontline Events | WW2 Salm River

WW2-specific milsim event based on the Battle of the Bulge: the defence of the Salm River sector, December 1944. During the Ardennes Offensive the US XVIII Airborne Corps was rushed to hold the northern shoulder of the Bulge. Around Trois-Ponts and along the Salm River, the 505th PIR (US 82nd Airborne) and the 2nd Battalion, Ox & Bucks Light Infantry (British 6th Airborne) held contiguous defensive lines against the 1st SS Panzer Division 'Leibstandarte', with joint OPs, LPs and combat patrols into the Ardennes woods. Objectives: Kampfgruppe Mosele must fight through south of La Gleize; Allied troops must punch south through the German advance and cut off the spearhead from reinforcements. Factions: British Airborne & US Airborne vs all German factions. Sniper roles (4 per side) and medic roles (2 per side). WW2 vehicles come free.
